The Best Universities for Business Studies
Choosing the right university for a degree in business may be as important as learning business concepts and applying them in the professional world. BusinessWeek"s famed "The Best Undergraduate B-Schools of 2010" ranks universities using nine measures of student satisfaction, starting salaries of graduates and academic quality.

Notre Dame

The number one university for business studies in 2010, according to BusinessWeek, is the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.

University of Virginia

For a less expensive program, consider the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, a public school, whose tuition is 25 percent of Notre Dame"s tuition. The University of Virginia ranked number two in BusinessWeek"s survey, down from the top slot in 2009.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Private college MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is most well-known for its engineering and aeronautical studies, but it also ranks third in the United States for business studies. Student surveys for MIT were quite a bit lower than Virginia and Notre Dame, but the average starting salary for graduates was $62,000.

University of Pennsylvania (Wharton)

Famed Penn"s Wharton School of Business, another private school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, ranked number four, down from third in the 2009 survey.

How to Validate a Foreign Education Diploma

How to Validate a Foreign Education Diploma
How to Validate a Foreign Education Diploma
A foreign education diploma is a degree completed in a school outside the United States. Schools around the world have different grading and requirement systems. As a result, a diploma you complete in France does not necessarily have the same equivalence as one from the United States. You may seek to validate your diploma if you are pursuing further education in a U.S. university, for employment, immigration or for other professional reasons. Validation must be done by a reputable organization.

List of Things You Need for Moving out for University

List of Things You Need for Moving out for University
List of Things You Need for Moving out for University
Getting ready to go away to college is an exciting experience for most students. However, it is also easy to become overwhelmed by the process because there is so much preparation involved. Packing for college can be one of the more stressful steps because it is difficult to know what you will need, especially if you have never lived away from home before. When you begin making a list of what to bring, focus on the necessities and other items that you cannot buy after you get to school.

Bedding

While most university and college housing provides students with a bed, you must bring your own bedding. Be sure to pack an adequate supply of sheets, pillows and pillow cases. Depending on the climate, you will probably need a comforter or quilt as well. The amount of bedding that you will need depends on how often you plan to do laundry, but it is a good idea to bring at least two sets of sheets so you have a fresh set to put on your bed while you wash the other. Pack a set of towels for your room as well.

Toiletries

While you can buy shampoo, conditioner, soap, face wash, deodorant and toothpaste at a store near your college, buy in bulk at a warehouse store so you have enough to last through the semester or until you go home for your first break. Keep pain relief medications, a first aid kit and any other medical supplies that you might need on hand as well. If your housing situation guarantees you a private bathroom, you should also pack a toilet plunger for emergencies. In addition, you should check to see if the school supplies toilet paper or if you need to bring your own. If you are sharing a bathroom, a shower caddy is a good idea to carry all of your toiletries to and from the communal bathroom. You may also want to pack an inexpensive pair of flip flops to use as shower shoes if you have a communal bathroom.

Clothing

When selecting clothing for moving to college, it is best not to over pack. Choose the necessary clothing based on the climate of your college"s location and how frequently you can go home. If the area experiences temperature changes as the season progress and you cannot go home to pick up additional clothing, pack a range of lightweight and warmer clothing so you can get through several seasons. If you are traveling far from home to an area that gets very cold in the winter, do not forget a heavy coat, gloves, scarf and snow boots. In addition, packing a bathrobe is a good idea if you must walk from your room to a communal bathroom. Do not forget hangers and plastic bins for storing clothes, as well as an iron.

Kitchen Supplies

Many college students are not fond of dining hall fare, so having some cooking supplies in your room can be helpful when you get hungry. However, not all schools allow cooking appliances in dorm rooms so check to see if you can bring items such as a toaster oven, microwave or hot pot. You may want to bring a mini-refrigerator as well to keep drinks cool, as well as utensils, plates, cups and a can opener.

School Supplies

While most college bookstores sell school supplies, their prices can often be high. Buy items like notebooks, folders, printer paper, pens, pencils, highlighters, tape, staples, paper clips and a hole punch before you arrive at school. You should also pack a backpack or book bag to carry your books to class. Most college students find having a laptop convenient so you may also want to bring one. If you have additional computer or electronic equipment, bring extension cords or surge protectors as well.

Decorations

Because many college students experience homesickness from time to time, it may help to bring items to decorate your room and give it a homey feel. Photos of family and friends are a good idea, as are posters, prints and sports pennants that remind you of home.
